Hon. Sanusi Musibau Adesina (Shaba) Calls for Continuity in Governance, Declares Interest in 2027 Federal House of Representatives Race

Hon. Sanusi Musibau Adesina, popularly known as Shaba, has emphasized the importance of continuity in governance as a key driver for sustainable development in Ona-Ara Local Government.Speaking during an interview on a podcast hosted by Mr. Ajibola Akinyefa, Hon. Adesina expressed concern that Ona-Ara should have witnessed more significant development if successive administrations had built upon existing foundations.According to him, if the current Chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government had continued from where his administration stopped, the local government area would have experienced accelerated growth and improved economic outcomes.During the interview, Hon. Adesina highlighted several initiatives executed under his leadership, as well as strategic plans laid out for subsequent administrations. These include the development of a neighbourhood market near the Ogbere Tioya River Bridge, road expansion projects, continuous support for farmers, regular security summits, and partnerships with private sector organizations. He noted, however, that it is disappointing that many of these efforts and plans have not been sustained or accounted for. While commending Governor Seyi Makinde for his efforts at the state level, Hon. Adesina stressed that local government authorities must also demonstrate initiative and commitment in driving grassroots development.Looking ahead, Hon. Adesina officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Federal Representative for Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections. He expressed confidence that with the platform and support of the federal government, he would be able to attract more developmental projects, deliver greater dividends of democracy, and further enhance socio-economic growth at the grassroots level.
